Dear Lord, we trust in Your infinite goodness. We praise Your justice and implore Your mercy upon all the holy souls who are suffering in Purgatory as they await their eternal Heavenly rest with You.
Many of us have grieved the death of our relatives. You know the depths of our sufferings in grief, but You give us great hope in Your mercy. Your justice demands that all souls be totally purified before coming into Your presence in the Beatific vision, and You mercifully allow us to participate in this mystery through our prayers for the dead.
We ask You to bring all the holy souls in Purgatory into eternal Heavenly rest with You, especially the souls of our deceased family members and friends.
Help us to grow in our trust in You each day. Help us to surrender our lives fully to You, even in the midst of pain or suffering.
Lord, hear our prayers!
Let us finish with some words of St. Padre Pio:
“Jesus went into the garden, and there were many flowers, and one was more beautiful than the others. He leaned over the most beautiful and picked it.” -Padre Pio
