I too have experienced this. Sometimes it awakens me from my sleep, other times it just finds me randomly throughout my day, and several times in my griefs. Many times it has been the smell of Lilys and others the smell of roses. With no other explanation, I believe it is often the blessed mother. Padre pios presence sometimes smells of Scared incense. 🙏 God bless you Michael 

40 years ago when I was discerning my vocation to the priesthood I experienced his perfume. My sister was in a Padre Pio prayer group and the leader of the group explained the meaning of the perfume to me. I have loved Padre Pio ever since.
