Dear Lord, we trust in Your infinite goodness. We praise Your justice and implore Your mercy upon all the holy souls who are suffering in Purgatory as they await their eternal Heavenly rest with You.

Your priests have chosen to devote themselves to You in a special way during this life. Their duties were not easy, and many priests have fallen short of Your will for them at different times. Please look with mercy on the souls of all priests who have died and who await entrance into Heaven.

We ask You to bring all the holy souls in Purgatory into eternal Heavenly rest with You, especially the souls of all deceased priests!

Help us to strive to follow You more closely each day. Help us to grow to a deeper, more fervent imitation of You at every opportunity.

Lord, hear our prayers!

Let us finish with some words of St. Padre Pio:

“The souls in Purgatory pray for us, and their prayers are even more effective than ours, because they are accompanied by their suffering. So, let’s pray for them, and let’s pray to them to pray for us.”-Padre Pio
